Terms of Service
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Remote Mac iPhone app, the Remote Mac Relay helper for macOS, the Premium relay service, and this website (together, "Remote Mac"). By installing or using Remote Mac you agree to them. For copies of the app delivered through the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms also apply; where they conflict, Apple's terms control for the App Store copy.
Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Remote Mac on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, resell, or redistribute the software, and you may not reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly permits.
Only control Macs you're allowed to
Remote Mac gives full control of a Mac to a paired iPhone. You may pair with and control only Macs that you own or that you are explicitly authorized to access. Using Remote Mac to access someone else's computer without permission is prohibited and may be illegal.
Beta software
Remote Mac is currently distributed as a public beta. Beta software changes frequently, may contain bugs, and may lose settings or stop working between builds. Don't rely on it for anything where a dropped connection would cause harm.
Premium and billing
Premium unlocks remote access over the internet through our relay. It is billed by Apple through your App Store account as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase, at the price shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your App Store settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
Premium remote use is subject to fair-use limits (currently five hours of relayed streaming per day and one active connection at a time). We may adjust these limits to keep the service healthy; meaningful reductions will be announced.
The relay service
We operate the relay on infrastructure we do not fully control and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Sessions are end-to-end encrypted, as described in the Privacy Policy. You agree not to abuse the relay — including probing, overloading, or using it to carry traffic other than Remote Mac sessions between your own paired devices.
Intellectual property
Remote Mac, its design, and its branding are ours. These terms give you a license to use the software, not ownership of it.
Warranty disclaimer
Remote Mac is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or that connections will be uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of Remote Mac. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Remote Mac in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using Remote Mac at any time by deleting the apps. We may suspend or terminate access to the relay service for abuse or breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use Remote Mac after a change means you accept the updated terms.
